Wow finding time to blog has been incredibly hard for me. So now that I am off of work for 2 weeks, my goal for these two weeks is to at least blog twice.
Mason you are 5 months old today! geez It still feels like I just had you yesterday. You are such a good, happy boy. You can do so much now but would still like to be able to do more. Me and Daddy on the other hand would like you to take your time. We get tears in our eyes every time you do something new for two reasons,1) because you are growing up so fast and 2)because we are so happy to watch you reach your developmental milestones. On our last visit to the doctor you were 26 inches long and 18 lbs. You are a big boy and barely fit in size 6 months clothes. You are no longer content sitting in your bouncer or laying under you play mat. You love your activity center and can now stand in it and turn all the way around to play with all the toys. You also like to stand on our laps and roll around on the floor with your toys. You have just begun rolling over from your back to your front and also your front to your back but this rolling stuff is still work in progress and can at times be frustrating for you. You talk so much, always trying to make different sounds. Even your doctor was impressed with how much you babble and I swear when we talk to you, you are studying our mouths. Other thing you love are: your toys, the Christmas tree, our dog ozzy, and people watching. Everywhere we go you are absolutely the bestest boy. starring at all the people and new things and then smiling and flirting with anyone who comes close. You are also eating so well you love bananas, greenbeans, squash, and pears aswell as your breastmilk and now some formula. Sweet boy we love you so much and can't wait to see what you will do next.

1st Wedding Anniversary!
October 23rd was our 1st wedding Anniversary! To celebrate Rusty and I got hotel reservations at the same hotel on SPI that we all stayed in on our wedding weekend. We had planned to take Mason but my Mom convinced us to leave him for the weekend with her, (she loves to babysit) so we did. It was the first time we had ever spent one night away from him, much less two nights since he has been born. We had a great time getting a lot of sleep and "us time". In between calling and skypeing Mason every two hours, we found time to go eat at some of our favorite restaurants and visit Clayton's bar. Here are some pictures of some of the sandcastles that were still up from last weekends "Sandcastle days". A special thanks to Mimi and Grandpa from taking such good care of mason while we were gone!
My Halloween Jammies
These are our favorite Halloween jammies ( that he's fixing to bust out of ) and some pictures we took after we carved pumpkins. I saw this cute idea on pintrest and had to try it.
My push gift :)
I came home from work the other day to find this light brown package with a little mint green box inside sitting on top of the counter. Rusty was very anxious for me to open. Inside was this beautiful necklace from Tiffany's of all places. I love it, it has an M for Mason engraved on it. So lets just say I broke down sobbing! Also inside the box was a note from Rusty thanking me for giving him Mason and going through 9 months of pregnancy and a c-section. It was so thoughtfully unexpected and made me feel so appreciated. I love my sweet Husband and baby boy!

Weekend in San Antonio
Last weekend we met our cousins Crystal,Quentin, and their baby Cole in San Antonio on the River Walk. It was Mason's first little road trip so I wasn't sure what all I would need. It took me all week to pack and ended up probably having enough stuff for the entire week but better to be safe than sorry. :) We had a blast and did many things including: Ripley's wax museums, Ripley's believe it or not, and Rainforest Cafe. Mason slept through most of those things, but surly did have fun with his cousin playing in our hotel room. Not to mention his first time in the pool.We all had a great time and can't wait to see them again. P.s. My camera was acting up so I didn't get too many good pictures :/

Splashy! splash! splash!
Rainforest Cafe's friendly tiger with Cole. Mason slept so peacefully through the animals and thunderstorms. The atmosphere was awesome.
Here are some pictures from the wax museum. I was surprised to see that the wax figures were not as life like as I remember when I was a kid but we did have some fun with the twilight crew. Two little hams
Cole is 4 months older than Mason so he was able to scoot around and show Mason the ropes. He also thought Mason's hands were pretty tasty

Guess what that black spot is on my face!
What you can't see is that I am standing next to Mason on the changing table so yes it is what you think it is. Rusty just had to take this photo, he just thought it was hilarious!!! I really don't know how it got there????
Mason in 2 Months Old!!!!! :)
Mason you are two months old! You have experinced so many new things in the last month. You now cooo and say "aagoo" a lot. When you do, Daddy and I always stop what we are doing to chit chat back with you. You smile at us all the time and we can see the excitement in your body language when we play. This last week was the hardest week of my life as I had to leave you and go back to work, but we did awesome. I'm sure you were wondering where I was. Everyday after I got out of work I was like a speed demon trying to get home to you.You are still getting nothing but breastmilk (which I'm pretty proud of) I work with an awesome group of people that make it so easy for me to pump as needed. Daddy has ajusted to taking you to Granny's everyday. He now goes over almost everyday at lunch to eat with you since your so close to his work. He says you talk to him all the way to Mcallen. Tuesday was the first night you slept through the night. I put you down after your bath at 11:30pm then I woke up with my alarm at 6 am and freaked out. I pulled you out of the pack N play to make sure you were ok. You woke up smiled at me then realized how hungry you were. You did that all week but for some reason as soon as Friday night came along you woke up at 4:30 for a bottle and 5:30 on Saturday for a bottle. I can't complain though because you always just take your bottle and then go back to sleep.
Things you love: your hands, taking baths, your learning catapillar, Mommy and Daddy's silly faces and babytalk..
Things you don't like: getting out of the bath tub and being put in your car seat.
Mason you are our everything. We love you so much and can't wait to see the new things you will do next month.
